About Ally

Ally is passionate about serving children, teens, their families, and young women through fostering healthy emotional development, creativity, self-esteem, and healing. She offers counseling services for children (ages 3+), adolescents, parents, individual adults, families, and groups.  Her approach to counseling focuses on establishing an atmosphere of warmth, safety, and acceptance to provide her clients the space to work collaboratively with her towards their goals, positive growth/development, and overall wellness. Within this relationship, she assists her clients in challenging and replacing thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that are keeping them from a living a fuller and more satisfying life.

In addition to traditional talk therapy, Ally is trained and experienced in incorporating play therapy, activity therapy, expressive art therapies, and animal-assisted therapy into her work with clients.  She is also trained in Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), a filial parenting model used to enhance the parent-child relationship while empowering the parent with knowledge and skills to affect positive change in their child. At the client's request, Ally enjoys incorporating faith-based resources and support into her counseling.

Ally has been providing counseling services to children, adolescents, siblings, families, and groups at Frisco Counseling and Wellness since 2014. Prior to that, she provided counseling services for the world-reknowned Center for Play Therapy at the University of North Texas and for The Art Station, a nonprofit art therapy center in Fort Worth.   Ally has also led a community group for teens in Lewisville for the nonprofit organization Journey To Dream and volunteered for The Elisa Project, giving presentations to students in local schools about the awareness and prevention of eating disorders along with the importance of positive body image and self-esteem.

For leisure, Ally enjoys spending time with her husband, kids, and extended family, being outdoors in nature with her vizsla Holly-Belle, and working on arts and crafts projects.
